At this time, Vietnamese immigration authorities have not announced any current closures. Immigration offices were previously closed from April 1-22, & re-opened on April 23. Danang’s immigration office was more recently closed from July 28 khổng lồ September 4, and re-opened on September 5. Vietnamese immigration authorities have sầu informed us that U.S. citizens with visas that expired during the closure of immigration offices will not be considered overstays for the duration of the closure period.

The U.S. Embassy Hanoi và Consulate General Ho Chi Minc City cannot sponsor U.S. citizens in visa matters. U.S. citizens are responsible for directly addressing immigration-related problems with Vietnamese immigration authorities, such as overstaying a visa, visa extensions, visa renewals, & new visa applications. The U.S. Embassy and Consulate General cannot ask local authorities lớn give individual U.S. citizens special treatment or exempt them from local laws.


I am a business manager, or member of a category exempted by the Government of Vietnam giới from the suspension of entry for foreigners, currently outside of Vietnam. What should I vày khổng lồ apply for a new visa? If I have sầu a valid visa, how can I enter Vietnam?

At this time, the Government of Vietnam has not lifted its suspension on the issuance of visas for foreigners, or its suspension of entry for foreigners, including people with a Vietnamese visa exemption certificate. Private businesses with employees with valid visas in the exempted categories mentioned previously must work with Vietnamese authorities on sponsoring their workers & requesting travel entry exceptions. If approved, all individuals entering Vietnam must be quarantined from five sầu lớn fourteen or twenty-one days, depending on the duration of their trip và the specific circumstances of their cases, at a government-designated facility or the company’s facility, or a hotel (if applicable). Please note that the quarantine period may be prolonged indefinitely if deemed necessary by the Vietnamese government.
